1 Peter
First Peter is one of the most encouraging letters of the New Testament.  Written by the Apostle Peter to gentile belivers scattered througout the Roman Provinces of Asia Minor, at a time when the storm clouds of persecution were gathering on the horizon, it was meant to be read in every church and encourge the heart of every true believer.

It does this in an important way, by encouraging them (and us) to live in light of their identity in Christ and the forgiveness of sins found only in Him.  No matter what your cicumstances, if you have placed your faith for salvation in Jesus living in light of your identity in Him will help you weather any storm.  First Peter tells us just how to do that.

This letter is rich in both theology and practicle instruction on how to live the Christian life in difficult circumstances.  Join us Sunday mornings at 11:00 for a verse by verse exposition of this letter, and learn what Peter has to teach us all.
